Monday Morning Breakfast Shiitake Mushroom Omelette

Omelette alone might not be an interesting breakfast for you and your family, specially if this meal is served “habitually”. The great thing is, you can add a big twist to your omelet using this simple recipe

Ingredients

  • 50g of thinly sliced Woolworths Fresh Mushrooms Shiitake Prepacked
  • 20g of Woolworths Homebrand Butter Block - Unsalted
  • 2 teaspoons of Woolworths Select Parsley Flakes
  • Seasoning

Instructions

  • 1. Melt butter in a medium frying pan.
  • 2. Add sliced mushrooms and cook for ten minutes or until it is slightly brown.
  • 3. Season to taste.
  • 4. Clean up the pan.
  • 5. Beat the eggs, add seasoning and 4 teaspoons of cold water.
  • 6. Reheat the pan and cook the egg using melted butter.
  • 7. Set it on medium fire for three minutes.
  • 8. When the base is golden, add the cooked mushrooms.
  • 9. You may also add some grated cheese.
  • 10. Tip pan to fold the omelet onto a plate.
  • 11. Add parsley and serve while hot
